Find your core stability, better balance, and enjoy low-impact exercise while studying The Argentine Tango!
After a targeted warm up, expert instructor Rebecca Rorick Smith will guide you through Tango basics including: essential Lead/Follow communication, Tango Music, and some iconic movements like: Caminada, La Cruzada, Ochos, and Paradas. Every class has 15 minutes of built-in guided practice time. The end the series will include a mini 'Milonga' or Tango dance event. This incredible improvised social dance has it’s roots in Buenos Aires from the early 20th century but has evolved and spread to encompass a huge worldwide community. Tango is an excellent way to meet new people, communicate non-verbally, exercise, experience a mind/body challenge, and most importantly have a lot of fun!
